Perceived Benefits of Spinal Cord Rehabilitation in Low-Middle Income Countries: A Qualitative Study
This qualitative study assessed 16 participants with chronic motor-incomplete tetraplegia enrolled in a 24-week rehabilitation pilot RCT in South Africa, comparing robotic locomotor training with standard activity-based training. Participants reported improvements in functional independence, reduced secondary complications, and enhanced psychosocial well-being, highlighting the importance of patient-centered approaches in SCI rehabilitation.
