Nationwide Trends in Stroke and Transient Ischemic Attack Incidence in Norway 2001-2021: Age and Sex Differences
This Norwegian registry study tracked over 229,000 incident stroke cases across 20 years, finding overall declining stroke incidence in both sexes, though ischemic stroke increased 1.6% annually in men under 35 years old. Transient ischemic attack incidence rose sharply until 2012 then declined substantially thereafter.
