Using radiological brain health to predict recurrence after ischemic stroke and transient ischemic attack: A population-based study
This population-based study examined whether neuroimaging markers of brain health could improve prediction of stroke recurrence beyond clinical factors alone using machine-learning techniques. Researchers followed 1,999 ischemic stroke and TIA patients from across 18 hospitals for 3 years, analyzing over 20 brain health measures on MRI to identify those at highest risk for recurrent stroke events.
