Hypomanic symptoms in major depressive disorder: Prognostic impact and treatment outcomes

This study examined 1,243 adults with major depressive disorder to understand how hypomanic symptoms affect treatment response and suicidal ideation remission. Patients with hypomanic symptoms showed poorer treatment response and higher suicide ideation, while certain psychiatric medications showed benefit in improving outcomes.
