Thyroid Hormone Receptor Mutation Presenting as ADHD: A Case Report

A 21-year-old man diagnosed with ADHD and learning disabilities was found to have resistance to thyroid hormone (RTH) caused by a novel heterozygous mutation in the thyroid hormone receptor beta gene. This case illustrates how a rare genetic endocrine disorder can present with ADHD-like symptoms, emphasizing the importance of thyroid assessment in ADHD evaluation.
