Components of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy for Mitigating Core Symptoms in Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: A Systematic Review and Network Meta-Analysis

A systematic review and network meta-analysis of 43 randomised controlled trials (3,817 participants) evaluated which specific components of cognitive-behavioural therapy are effective for ADHD core symptoms. Third-wave therapy, behaviour therapy, and standard CBT showed superior efficacy compared to placebo, with organisational strategies and third-wave components emerging as particularly effective individual elements.
