Differences and Similarities between Developmental Coordination Disorder and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder: A Scoping Review

This scoping review systematically examines 68 studies comparing Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) and ADHD across neuroimaging, genetics, cognition, motor skills, and psychosocial outcomes. The analysis reveals significant neural and functional overlap between conditions, with individuals having both DCD and ADHD experiencing greater difficulties than those with either condition alone, though sensorimotor difficulties consistently differentiate DCD from ADHD.
