Atypical Alpha Band Microstates During Eyes-Closed Resting State EEG in Autism

This study compared EEG microstate patterns between 30 autistic and 30 neurotypical adults, finding that autistic participants showed significant differences in microstate A, C, D, and E parameters, particularly in microstate C which was reduced across all measures. Some microstate parameters also correlated with autism symptom severity scores on the RAADS-R diagnostic scale.
