Predictive model using Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule for differential diagnosis between schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorder

This study compared 40 people with schizophrenia and 50 with ASD using standardized diagnostic tools to identify which assessment methods best distinguish between these conditions. A predictive model combining specific behavioral items showed superior accuracy compared to standard algorithms, addressing the clinical challenge of overlapping symptoms between the two disorders.
