Systematic Review Protocol on Psychometric Properties and Gender Measurement Invariance of Self-Report Autism Assessment Tools in Adults

This systematic review protocol aims to evaluate self-report autism assessment tools published since 2014 that have undergone gender-related measurement invariance testing, addressing concerns that current tools may not adequately capture autism traits as they present differently in women. The review will use established quality assessment methods (COSMIN) to critically appraise psychometric properties and identify potential gender bias in autism measurement constructs.
