Design, Methodology, and Early Findings of an Autism Registry Program: ABBILAR Project

A registry program established in East Azerbaijan province, Iran documented 1,120 autism spectrum disorder cases (2015-2023) using DSM-IV/V criteria, finding the majority were male, diagnosed between ages 3-7, and diagnosed by psychiatrists. The registry demonstrates potential for informing healthcare policy and treatment service development through linkage of clinical and treatment data.
