Prevalence of autism spectrum disorder in mainland China over the past 6 years: a systematic review and meta-analysis

This meta-analysis of 21 studies found ASD prevalence among children aged 0-14 in mainland China was 0.7% since 2017, with boys significantly more commonly diagnosed (1.0%) than girls (0.2%). Urban areas showed higher prevalence rates (23.9%) compared to rural regions (0.7%), though this difference was not statistically significant in some analyses.
