Validation of the German RAADS-R: A Novel Screening Instrument for Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessment

This validation study examined the German translation of the RAADS-R, an 80-item diagnostic questionnaire for autism covering language, social relatedness, circumscribed interests, and sensory-motor domains, across 299 participants including those with ASD, other psychiatric disorders, and controls. The study extends the instrument's clinical utility by testing self-administration without clinician presence and addresses the previously understudied sensory-motor component required by DSM-5 and ICD-11 diagnostic criteria.
