Weight Control Methods and Risk of Generalized Anxiety Disorder Among Korean Adults

This nationally representative study of 3,251 Korean adults found a dose-response relationship between the number of weight control methods used and anxiety symptoms (GAD-7 scores). Specific methods including fasting, over-the-counter diet pills, supplements, and mono-diets were associated with elevated anxiety risk, particularly among underweight or normal-weight individuals.
