Dynamic Mode Decomposition Analysis of Brain Dynamics in Autism Spectrum Disorder Patients
This study applied dynamic mode decomposition to resting-state fMRI data from 849 individuals to characterize temporal brain dynamics in autism spectrum disorder, finding altered oscillatory patterns in visual-parietal-temporal regions and atypical developmental trajectories compared to controls. DMD features were also associated with cognitive heterogeneity within the ASD group, suggesting this method captures dimensions of autism-related neurobiological variation.
