Effectiveness of Digital Health Technologies in Managing Autism Spectrum Disorder in Children and Adolescents: A Systematic Review

A systematic review of 12 randomized controlled trials (622 participants) evaluated digital health interventions for autism-related symptoms, including tablet apps, video-modeling, and augmented-reality systems. Results were mixed for core social communication deficits, but interventions based on behavioral principles showed benefits for language development, emotional understanding, and vocational skills in adolescents.
