The Association Between Substance Use and ADHD and Borderline Personality Disorder in Undergraduate Students: An Exploratory Study
This cross-sectional study of 887 undergraduate students examined associations between substance use, ADHD, and borderline personality disorder using standardized diagnostic instruments. Results found ADHD prevalence of 3%, BPD at 5%, substance use at 18%, with impulsivity highly prevalent across all three groups, and significant associations between these conditions.
