Efficacy and safety of transcranial alternating current stimulation in adults with ADHD: a double-blind randomized sham-controlled trial

StudiuADHDÎncredere bună

This double-blind randomized controlled trial tested transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) in 56 adults with ADHD over 20 sessions, finding significantly greater improvement in inattention symptoms compared to sham at week 4, sustained at week 8 but attenuated by week 16. Neural imaging showed treatment-related changes in gamma-band connectivity between brain regions involved in attention, supporting tACS as a potential neuromodulation intervention for adult ADHD.
