This study compared 52 adults with ADHD and problematic internet usage (PUI) to 52 matched controls with ADHD alone, using clinical assessments, cognitive testing, and neurophysiological measures. ADHD+PUI patients showed greater inattention, sluggish cognitive tempo, emotional dysregulation, social anxiety, sleep issues, and functional impairment, with problematic social media use being the most common internet-related condition.
