Sensory Processing Sensitivity and Its Association with ADHD Traits and ADHD-Related Strengths
This study examined the relationship between sensory processing sensitivity (SPS) and ADHD traits in 496 general population adults using validated questionnaires and correlation/case-control analyses. Results showed positive associations between SPS and ADHD traits, with people diagnosed with ADHD scoring higher on SPS; additionally, SPS correlated with ADHD-related strengths including hyperfocus, cognitive flexibility, curiosity, and empathy.
