Abnormal functional connectivity associated with emotional dysregulation in children with ADHD
This study compared brain functional connectivity patterns in 77 children with ADHD and emotional dysregulation, 53 with ADHD alone, and 55 typically developing controls using resting-state fMRI. ADHD children with emotional dysregulation showed distinct connectivity patterns in prefrontal and limbic regions, including altered connections between the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and emotion-related brain areas.
