Fetal Growth Restriction, Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD: A Narrative Review of Potential Connections

This narrative review examines the relationship between fetal growth restriction (FGR) and the development of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). While neurodevelopmental disorders have been associated with low birth weight and prematurity, the authors note that direct evidence linking FGR to ASD or ADHD remains limited and variable.
