Pedagogical Adaptations for Autistic Students in Medical Education: A Systematic Review

This systematic review examined seven studies on how medical education practices can be adapted to support autistic students and doctors, identifying key strategies including awareness training, individualized accommodations, and co-created empathy teaching. Findings highlight the importance of autistic role models in clinical settings and language choices that recognize autism as a neurodevelopmental difference rather than a deficit.
