A study using proteomic aging clocks in European cohorts found that faster biological aging markers correlated with increased risk of mortality, cardiovascular disease, dementia, and several cancers, alongside lifestyle factors like smoking and inactivity. Organ-specific protein clocks showed stronger associations with cancers in the kidney, lung, and stomach, suggesting potential biomarkers for personalized risk assessment.
