Association between postconcussion physical activity frequency and plasma biomarker levels in adolescents

StudiuTraumatisme cranio-cerebraleÎncredere înaltă

A cross-sectional study of 57 adolescents with concussion found that higher frequency of physical activity after injury was associated with significantly lower plasma levels of GFAP, a glial injury biomarker. The findings support evidence that early, measured physical activity may be beneficial for concussion recovery by reducing neuroinflammatory markers.
