External Validation of the AS5F Score and the Role of Left Atrial Dilatation in Post-Stroke/TIA Atrial Fibrillation Detection

This study validates the AS5F risk scoring system for identifying atrial fibrillation in patients recovering from stroke or transient ischemic attack. The research evaluates left atrial enlargement as a potential biomarker to improve detection of atrial fibrillation in the post-acute stroke population.
