Caregiver Burden Among Mothers of Children with Down Syndrome: A Cross-Sectional Study

This study assessed the burden of care experienced by 96 mothers of children with Down syndrome in Nepal, finding that 77.1% experienced high caregiver burden including financial strain, work adjustments, emotional strain, and physical exhaustion. Significant associations were found between caregiver burden and maternal age at delivery, highlighting the need for targeted support systems for mothers caring for children with Down syndrome.
