Healthcare satisfaction and medical literacy needs among caregivers of individuals with Down syndrome

A mixed-method survey of 348 caregivers in the US and Mexico found that nearly 40-47% feel current healthcare options inadequately meet the specialized needs of individuals with Down syndrome. Caregivers report difficulty locating customized, practical health information and express frustration with overwhelming, non-applicable medical resources, suggesting need for tailored online platforms addressing DS-specific healthcare guidance.
