Increased hippocampal epigenetic age in the Ts65Dn mouse model of Down syndrome

This study demonstrates that Ts65Dn mice, which model Down syndrome, exhibit accelerated epigenetic aging in the hippocampus compared to control mice, mirroring patterns observed in people with Down syndrome. The findings support using this animal model to understand molecular mechanisms underlying premature aging features associated with Down syndrome.
