Thalamic and Hypothalamic Volume Changes in Mouse Models of Down Syndrome

StudiuSindrom DownÎncredere înaltă

This study used MRI imaging to measure thalamic and hypothalamic volumes in transgenic mouse models relevant to Down syndrome (Ts1Rhr trisomic mice and Ms1Rhr monosomic mice). Results showed significant reductions in thalamic volume in both trisomic and monosomic mice compared to controls, but no differences in hypothalamic volume, highlighting the complexity of genotype-phenotype correlations in Down syndrome brain structure.
