Postural Stability in Adults with Down Syndrome: Gender Differences in Balance Control

This study compared postural stability between 26 adults with Down syndrome and 26 matched controls using pressure-sensing platform analysis. Adults with Down syndrome demonstrated significantly impaired postural stability across most measures, with men showing greater deficits in balance control under more challenging conditions compared to women with Down syndrome.
