Psychometric Evaluation of the Severity Measure for Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD-DY) in Australian Adolescents

A community sample of 315 Australian adolescents completed the SAD-DY, a DSM-5-based social anxiety measure, demonstrating good internal consistency, concurrent validity, and discriminant validity through factor analysis. The study established criterion cut-off scores for both the 10-item and a newly developed 6-item abbreviated version (SAD-DY6), enhancing clinical utility for research and practice.
