Healthcare Access Disparities for Sexual and Gender Minority Individuals with Generalized Anxiety Disorder in the US

This study analyzed data from 8,841 US adults with generalized anxiety disorder, finding that sexual and gender minority individuals faced significantly higher barriers to mental healthcare access compared to non-minority peers, including both cost-related delays and experiences of disrespect. The research used rigorous statistical adjustment and examined intersecting identities to inform equitable healthcare policy.
