Psychometric Properties of PHQ-9 and GAD-7 in Mexican Cancer Patients

This cross-sectional study validated Spanish versions of the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 and Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 in 357 Mexican cancer patients, demonstrating both instruments have acceptable internal consistency and factor structures. The findings support using these brief screening tools for detecting depression and anxiety symptoms in oncology care settings.
