Causes of Hospitalization in Children with Down Syndrome: A 10-Year Retrospective Analysis

This retrospective observational study examined 10 years of hospitalization records (2013–2021) for children and adolescents with Down syndrome to identify primary causes, comorbidities, and patterns of ICU admission. The research aims to characterize the hospitalized population by age, diagnosis, and length of stay to inform clinical interventions that reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and improve outcomes.
