JAK inhibition reduces autoimmune burden in Down syndrome: Phase II clinical trial findings

Researchers conducted comprehensive immune profiling in individuals with Down syndrome and report results from a Phase II trial of the JAK inhibitor tofacitinib to treat immune dysregulation. Early treatment data (10 participants, 16 weeks) showed good safety and improvements in autoimmune skin conditions including alopecia areata and psoriasis.
