This scoping review systematically examines literature on hip instability and dysplasia in people with Down syndrome, analyzing prevalence, diagnosis, imaging findings, and treatment approaches across all life stages. The authors found radiographic evidence of hip abnormality in 1-14% of children and up to 28% of adults with DS, supporting consideration of standardized hip surveillance protocols.
