Corneal Endothelial Cell Morphology in Down Syndrome: A Comparative Analysis

This specular microscopy study compared corneal endothelial cell characteristics in 21 eyes of patients with Down syndrome versus 37 control eyes. Results showed normal corneal endothelial cell density, morphology, and thickness in Down syndrome eyes, with no significant differences from controls despite the chromosomal abnormality.
