Head Injuries in Professional Women's Football: Video Analysis of Frequency and Characteristics (2021-2024)

This systematic video analysis examined 147 professional women's football matches across four major tournaments, identifying 362 potential head injuries (2.46 per match). Only 36.2% received medical assessment, with visible concussion signs in 23.2% of cases; aerial duels were the most common cause, followed by opponent contact and ball impact.
