National audit of head injury discharge advice compliance with NICE guidelines

This audit evaluated 99 head injury discharge leaflets from NHS England trusts against NICE guidance (NG232), finding none achieved full compliance (mean score 0.42/1.0). While safety information about surgical deterioration met targets, advice on concussion symptom management and return-to-activity guidance fell significantly short of standards.
