StudiuSindrom DownÎncredere înaltă

A retrospective study of 80 children with Down syndrome (average age 7.95 years) found that 85% had abnormal chest CT findings, with tracheal compression from vascular abnormalities (16.3%) and peribronchial thickening (22.5%) being the most common large airway and lung abnormalities respectively. Children with lung abnormalities showed increased associations with respiratory complications, highlighting the clinical significance of structural pulmonary disease in this population.
