Moyamoya Syndrome in Patients With Down Syndrome and Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

This case series documents four children with Down syndrome who presented with moyamoya syndrome (a progressive narrowing of brain blood vessels increasing stroke risk) either before or during acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment. The findings emphasize the importance of monitoring for moyamoya syndrome complications in Down syndrome patients undergoing leukemia therapy.
