Mothers' and Fathers' Use of Recodes with Young Children with Down Syndrome

StudiuSindrom DownÎncredere înaltă

This study examined how mothers and fathers use recodes (parental responsivity strategies) during play interactions with young children with Down syndrome to facilitate language development. Results showed both parents used similar recode frequencies, with positive associations between parental recodes and child receptive and expressive language outcomes, suggesting recodes should be incorporated into parent-mediated communication interventions.
