Countrywide Variables Associated With the Reduction of Fetuses With Down Syndrome

This epidemiological study analyzed how government prenatal screening policies and reimbursement affect the percentage of Down syndrome pregnancies resulting in selective termination across countries. Results showed that making serum screening available and financially covered increased reduction percentages substantially, with effects modulated by maternal age and national income.
