Down Syndrome: Clinical Characteristics from Pregnancy Through Childhood in Turkey

A 10-year retrospective review of 324 children with Down syndrome examined prenatal screening, postnatal features, congenital malformations, and developmental outcomes. Common complications included congenital heart defects (57.5%), hypothyroidism (39%), and neonatal hyperbilirubinemia (19.7%), along with rare conditions such as epilepsy and nephrolithiasis.
