Treatment patterns and clinical outcomes of ADHD medications in adolescents and young adults with comorbid major depressive disorder
This large retrospective study analyzed electronic health records of over 1 million ADHD patients to compare how comorbid major depressive disorder affects medication prescribing patterns and outcomes. Results showed that ADHD+MDD patients receive higher overall ADHD medication prescribing (especially bupropion), and CNS stimulants were associated with more favorable outcomes compared to non-stimulants in this comorbid population.
