This study examines what family members of individuals with Down syndrome know about Alzheimer's disease and their perspectives on its occurrence in this population. People with Down syndrome have significantly elevated risk for early-onset Alzheimer's disease due to trisomy 21, making family caregiver understanding an important aspect of care planning and support.
