Sex-Specific Interpretation and Reliability of Annual Collegiate ImPACT Baselines: A Clinical Guide

This study analyzed ImPACT (concussion cognitive testing) baseline data from 390 NCAA Division I athletes across four seasons to establish sex-specific minimal detectable change ranges and test-retest reliability. Results show several cognitive subtests exhibit poor reliability in both sexes, with females showing particularly low reliability on visual memory and multiple processing tasks, requiring careful clinical interpretation of score changes.
