Perceptions of concussion management and testing among rugby union healthcare professionals: a qualitative analysis

A qualitative study interviewed eight rugby union healthcare professionals about their experiences with current head injury assessment protocols on-field and pitch-side. Findings show that while standardized protocols provide structure, clinical judgment remains essential for accurate diagnosis, and professionals express cautious optimism toward emerging technologies like biomarker testing and motor control assessments.
