Complete neurological recovery following penetrating gunshot wound to left frontal lobe: a case report

A 14-year-old Syrian male with a penetrating gunshot injury to the left frontal region underwent urgent surgical intervention including craniectomy and bone fragment removal, achieving rapid neurological improvement from GCS 10 to 15 within 12 hours. This rare case demonstrates that selected patients with penetrating brain trauma can achieve complete recovery with prompt expert assessment, neuroimaging, and timely surgical management combined with multidisciplinary rehabilitation.
